Congratulations shiru!!! Another little boy :D . How are you getting on? I'm finding breastfeeding hard- very demanding and he's also suffering a lot with trapped wind. It's amazing to look at them isn't it after all we've been through- love your sons name, very apt. X

Hi shiru sounds like your doing fab. My little girl is 6 months now they don't stay babies for long just contending with weaning at the moment! It's very fun but challenging (in a good way) but I just want her to stay small crazy how quick our journeys have gone and where we are now.

Hi everyone
All quiet here for sure. Optimistic I hear you. My son is 2 months old and I'm wondering where the time has gone. Every day he changes..it's amazing..battling with lack of weight gain etc...I'm sure it will all come together soon.

Weaning - all to come for me.

Hi ladies I joined you right at the start of this tread then went missing in action. I had a very difficult pregnancy and sadly lost one of the twins. However the other little baby was a true fighter and in late August I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. I can not believe she’s here and I finally have my miracle! Four months old now. Where is the time going?!

Congratulations to you all and I hope you are all enjoying the rollercoaster of motherhood.
Merry Christmas xx

Jasper congratulations. Hope you are doing well? Yeah motherhood is a rollercoaster for sure. Anybody considering using their frozen embryos for those whove have some? My son is 7 months old and I'm just thinking when best to start cycling. I'm 45 so time isnt on my side..

All the best as you continue to enjoy your miracle babies. I actually called my son miracle (Ajabu) xx

Hi guys! Not sure if you remember me? I was pregnant with you all but then we unfortunately lost our little boy at 28 weeks in may last year due to his severe health issues, which we only found out at 20 weeks. Was an awful time but we are now in a happier place.

Congratulations on all your miracles, glad your all doing well.

Jasper that’s so sad about losing one of your babies but pleased you have a healthy little girl. I remember your journey at the beginning when you had problems and you have had a very long journey.

Shiru wow 7 months already! And thinking of your next transfer? We did a fet when my son was 6 months old. I think as long as your not breastfeeding and depending on whether you had a c section this may delay Ivf but we were fine to try again quite quickly.

Well I’ve had quite a journey since I lost my little boy (conceived naturally) I have two children nearly 4 and 2. Would love a third child. I did Ivf in October last year but we only got 2 blasts. Had one back and had a msc at 7 weeks. Then I needed an op on my tubes in feb this year and he removed some scar tissue that were blocking my ovaries. Tubes are open so he said we could get pregnant naturally but not holding my breath.

Anyway we are doing a fet in April we have 2 frozen so will put both back. In the meantime trying for a natural pregnancy.

Wishing you all lots of happiness with motherhood xx

Is everything still the same with cycling again? Or has medicine developed now x

Hi ladies

Optimistic and Woody

Lovely to hear from you for sure. It had been a while.. the medication for me was the same but I stayed on the injections a week longer than previously as the lining wasn't quite where it should have been. I'm now PUPO otd is 5th June. It can't come sooner🤔

I had FET last embie and it's slightly cheaper than a full cycle although the medication and consultation has all sky rocketed. I don't want to get into mid 40s without attempting for a sibling🤗...if it's meant to be for you both it will happen

All the best x

Woody it's still very scary..remember how emotional our journeys were before...this feels even hard as we know our bodies have been receptive once and we have evidence in our little ones everyday..hope your almost 2 year old is doing well. On day 6 :? And it feels like a long time to wait still..will wait till otd.

Hi newbie88..my clinic chaged about 2000 for the cycle.they charge 125 for each scan and 140 for the consultation at the start. Plus extra cost depending on the medication prescribed. I've spent about 400 as I was on the long protocol. It's not cheap but cheaper than 10000 for a full cycle. Hope that helps..all the best

Just wanted to update, when I went for my fet year it wasn’t successful and I had a healthy baby boy in January. He’s now 7 months.

How did u get on Shiru in May?

Optimistic and woody how are u both doing?

Thinking of trying for a 4th! 39 in October so need to make my mind up before my eggs shrivel up. Xx

Hi Zachary’s mum that’s amazing news so glad you have a health 7 month old. Time goes way too fast! If I could do it all over again I absolutely would just not in that position but whilst sometimes it makes me sad I only have one I just remind myself she’s my miracle and I’m lucky to have one, some are not in that position! Go for it if you can and it’s want you want it to do.
My LO is now 2 and a half, a proper little lady and lost all her Babyness now but is such a Loving person. I now have dreaded letting her to go to nursery now and she just
Screams everytime I leave her it’s heartbreaking but I know it would be good for her in the long run. Hope everyone is ok and doing well 💗

Zacharysmum wah how time has flown by. 7 months. Yes definitely if you can go for it, and why not?

I had a miscarriage with my last embryo in July (still very raw) and painful so my only option is cycling again or embryo adoption. Yes I know..

Optimistic I feel like you most of the time about having a boy but my heart aches for a sibling. Not sure we can afford as I've been home for 2 year being mammy. My boy is due to start nursery (3 hours a day) on the 19th Sept. Not sure I'm ready to let him go and I'm certainly nowhere near ready to deal with him crying. So you are doing well but I am sorry. All we want is for them to settle and be happy. Hope she settles soon

Take care both

Hello

I don’t know if anyone will remember me? I joined the thread right and the start then disappeared for most of my pregnancy due to various health issues and distractions. I popped on at the end to say i had a little girl in aug 2017.

I’m now back online as absolutely desperate for a second baby but just can not afford it to cycle again. We’ve had two more tries since dd was born but now I’m part time we have no spare money to save up for another go. I’m not ready to consider adoption just yet. So I’m struggling to cope with the yearning for another child whilst always feeling blessed that I have my precious girl. It’s a strange feeling.

Having read a few posts above I can see that some of you are also in a similar position.

Any tips for coping? X

Hi Jasper, lovely to hear from you. Your little girl must be growing away now. I know how you feel about the yearning for another it’s just so costly. I don’t really have any tips apart from when you’ve made final decision that you can’t do it again, something inside you just
Accepts it. Doesn’t mean your happy about it, but it helps you move on. I still get broody when I see newborns and when I get that ache I just give my little one a cuddle and remind myself how lucky I am to have her. Hope it gives you some comfort that it’s completely normal to feel how you are x

Hi

Thank you for your lovely reply. My little girl has just turned two. Is your lo the same?? When did you make the decision to stop? I know it would be sensible for me to let it go but I just feel like my journey with ivf and babies is not over yet. I thought once I’d finally got my miracle that would be enough but my brain is telling me there’s always room for another! Crazy really isn’t it.

My husband isn’t as desperate for another one as me so sometimes I feel like I have no one to talk to about how I’m feeling.
It’s tough isn’t it. X
