Re: Summer sunshines 2022!!

Hi everyone, So so sooooo sorry to have disappeared for a bit- when I had so much to read through I realised I’d not been on here in a lot longer than I thought 🙈 We went on holiday in wales the end of March with little reception so think I lost track then and after that I kept getting ready to read...

Re: Summer sunshines 2022!!

Tazzy I hope you get out of hospital quickly especially in this sunshine! Lou hoping things are okay and mild. Good to hear I’m not the only one not going in places and being careful. The world seems to be acting like covid doesn’t exist any more but after my asthma attack a couple of weeks ago I’m ...

Re: Summer sunshines 2022!!

Pigletina and cooler Lichfield isn’t too far south of Stafford. So definitely possible to meet and we go to Stafford fairly regularly as my husband went to uni there and all his friends are down there. One is south of Stafford in rugeley. Maybe we all could meet up?!

Re: Summer sunshines 2022!!

Morning ladies, I spent yesterday in a terrible mood. We had the maternity pay chat last week and hubby created an excel sheet and it has been pretty much confirmed I can’t take the full year off because we simply can’t afford it. I’m absolutely devastated and still want to take it anyway. My mum h...

Re: Summer sunshines 2022!!

John Lewis has EVERYTHING so you should be ok! I've been very impressed by their "Anyday" range too, which is extremely competitively priced. I got a new mattress for the crib from there. I needed a specific size and was cautious about buying online due to wanting to make sure it met with...

Re: Summer sunshines 2022!!

Hi ladies, Unfortunately my DS wouldn’t latch - I think and am convinced a tongue tie was missed 😬🙄 so I exclusively pumped for nine months. It was lockdown so it was feesible. Wouldn’t do it again tho and would invest money in a lactation consultant and get a second opinion! There’s loads of fb gro...

Re: Summer sunshines 2022!!

With my first I wanted hypnobirthing water birth… I ended up with three failed inductions and a failed water breaking and after 3.5 days they called it and basically said the only way my DS was coming out was by c section and I have to say it was a very calm way to have a baby. As I went into recove...

Oh that’s good to know as have no history of family diabetes. Yeah wish I’d lost some before pregnancy but I have eaten my way through lockdown so hey ho! Hope I don’t have to have the drink like I did last time 🙈

Re: Summer sunshines 2022!!

My main worry with my weight is I was just over the BMI 30 threshold 30.6 🙄 so got to have the GTT done and just don’t want to end up with gestational diabetes and have to eat boring food for the rest of the pregnancy 😂😂

Re: Summer sunshines 2022!!

Also just to say Lou- I did also get my blood pressure checked just to be on the safe side with the headaches as I’m a risk of preeclampsia due to different factors so would recommend if as a precaution. Also I don’t know if you wear glasses or not but my eyes changed focus and I needed them more t...

Re: Summer sunshines 2022!!

I found first time around once I was past the 20 week scan and could regularly feel the baby moving I settled into the pregnancy more. I just had my 16 week midwife appointment and it took them about 5-10 mins to find the heartbeat 🙈🙇‍♀️ He was tucked right in and kept moving 🙄 definitely a bit 🙇‍♀️...

Re: Summer sunshines 2022!!

Common on ladies any more baby names 😂 At the mo the one that seems to be sticking is Elijah James to be able to odd occasions shorten to EJ maybe or Elijah Benjamin. I always loved Reuben but our surname ends in n so it just sounded like too many n’s - I do seem to gravitate towards older biblical ...

Re: Deciding when to go for it

Hi Euca, Just saw you hadn’t had a reply and thought I’d just let you know that our clinic care Manchester doesn’t allow anyone to have treatment for a minimum of 4months after having covid so maybe that could be a useful guide as I’m sure they would have a medical reason for saying that amount of t...

I’m still in two minds. Thanks in advance! Lou, I had my flu jab before ivf this time but had it after 12 wks last preg...

Re: Summer sunshines 2022!!

All was well thank you ladies and the baby was boxing and drinking on the screen (hoping this isn’t what’s to come!) For us it’s another boy - so thankful that he’s healthy but if I’m honest there is a tinge of disappointment as this has to be my last pregnancy as I’ll be 43 by the time the baby is...

Re: Summer sunshines 2022!!

Oh Lou thank goodness! Been checking everyday since Friday in case you had any news. So relieved to hear and glad you are doing well. Give yourself some time to chill now and enjoy your pregnancy. Flash my private scan was at 16 weeks and they were able to clearly see the gender. I did have to wigg...
