May/June cycles?

#1 Post by Leezo » Tue May 10, 2022 7:10 pm

Hey - thought I'd start a wee thread for anyone embarking on a May or June cycle!
I am on the countdown to my period - which incidentally has not been playing ball the last 2 months.....- hoping to have an FET early June with our last remaining Frostie 🍀
Would be great to hear from anyone around the same position to vent to/laugh with/cry with during this fertility rollercoaster!❤️

@Leezo hope your period arrives soon so you can get started on another cycle I have a consultation on the 1st June to discuss next options after 2 failed FET in the last couple of months. May have some testing done first before I do another cycle. We have 4 embryos still frozen.

Hey Russellg so sorry to hear about your failed FET's. I hope you get some answers from your consultation. Have you any thoughts on further testing? Do you mind if I ask - did they fail to implant or did you have a loss after implantation? Either way it's heartbreaking I know - there is no easy way. I've had 5 natural losses and lost our first FET
in January at 9 weeks but we knew from 7 that it was not a viable pregnancy. It's been a long journey but we're staying positive.
4 embies on ice is a great number and hopefully your miracle or miracles are there just waiting for transfer x

Hi Leezo, I think further testing needs to be done now but I am not sure what they will want to do and how which is why I have asked for a face to face consultation on the 1st as think things will get confusing.
I have had 2 natural Early miscarraiges in 2017 & 2018. I was pregnant September last year after my fresh IVF cycle but confirmed MMC at early scan. Then FET in March & May failed to implant so negative pregnancy test.
It's a real struggle to stay positive and after every cycle to pick yourself up and start again

Sorry to hear about your miscarriages - you are right, it is a real struggle to keep going. Oh wants to call it a day after our next cycle if it comes to that. I agreed at the time we spoke but as it's getting nearer I'm not so sure.
They offered me an ERA but we declined as we knew things were implanting so it couldn't have been a timing error. There's other testing EMMA and ALICE I think?? There's also the Chicago level 1 and 2 tests. We've declined testing so far but after this round we will play it by ear. I've been offered Inhixa this round empirically and I'm also on a bit of a trial med called Hydroxychloroquine so we'll see how I fare. I'm patiently waiting for my period so we can start - CD 16 today so hoping it staves off for another 9 days to my normal cycle

Hi everyone, I hope you don’t mind me jumping on to this thread. I’m an IVF newbie and tonight we are pulling the trigger! Wednesday is egg collection today, which I’m super nervous for. Scan revealed today that I’m at risk of over stimulation, so it is likely we won’t have a fresh embryo transferred and will have to wait a month or two for my hormones to go back to normal before we have a frozen embryo transfer. Gosh, all the waiting…it never ends!
Sending lots of light and love to you all as you navigate your journeys.

Hipster welcome to the group. Good luck on Wednesday make sure you give yourself some time to rest afterwards. Sounds like you have a bit of time to wait before transfer.
Unfortunately with IVF it does sometimes feel like we are constantly waiting but hopefully we will all reach our goals at the end x

Hi Hibster - welcome! The waiting is never ending unfortunately!!
Good luck for Wednesday - we've never experienced egg collection as we've gone with donor eggs so I can't offer any advice or support apart from you've got this! Keep thinking about the end result and all of this waiting and worry will pale into insignificance one day. Keep us up to date with your journey - love to you and your ovaries!!x

How bizarre I actually have Southern Hemisphere Rellys over at the minute too!! It's nice to have the distraction to be fair.
Yes still waiting for my period but I'm ok with that - I kinda want to start things moving but I don't want it to come too early and scupper our plans.
1st June will not be long coming around - I hope you get some answers Russellg x
