They didn't tell me to do that, but as with any medication, I think you could probably feel a bit rough if you suddenly went cold turkey - I tend to get headaches with any big change in hormone medication so thought I would give my body a chance to get used to a lower level before stopping completely! I didn't get any spotting.

We are finding out the gender on Friday if all is well at the scan  :D

Oohhhh exciting!!!
I hopefully find out on 31st Jan!
Are you hoping for a particular gender Tazzy as I see you have one of each! We are going to find out as I’m hoping for a girl this time after my DS but obs just want a healthy happy baby!
I’m not bothered either way lol but have a strong feeling it’s a boy but I’m always wrong!
DD wants a little sister but DS isn’t bothered!

Can i ask why you think is a boy? I am curious i think i read somewhere if the heart beat is more than 140 beats per minute this means you are having a girl. I dint know how accurate that is 🙂

I feel the same as when I was pregnant with my son and my bump is smaller as it was with him. With my daughter I was showing at 6 weeks.. am 14 weeks tomorrow and no one has realised and we haven’t told anyone apart from the kids yet!
But it could still be a girl lol.. u never know!
Can’t wait to find out on 31st!

My sister thinks she sees a boy nub on mine but i think it might be the chord. Id be happy with either as its our first just cant wait to know!
Haven't brought anything yet either, we said we would buy one baby grow after the 12 week scan just to make it more real, and14 weeks now and still haven't got anything! Finding it hard to find anything i like that's unisex at the minute. Might just wait now until we know the gender.
What's everyone else doing? Has anyone got anything for baby yet?
Aw you should defo go and buy a little baby grow! There are a lot of cute woodland and animal themed outfits right now that are unisex. I mostly bought my daughter unisex stuff when she was a baby so I don’t think I need to buy anything at all for this one, which is a shame in a way as I love buying baby clothes…might get a few new things when we find out gender just as a treat. If everything is ok of course. Still anxious but trying to get over that!
Im in the same boat, i bought unisex clothes for when I have my DD, so wont need to buy much - if anything. If everything goes well i might buy a new coming outfit for the little baby to mark the special occasion. I went for my intralipid yesterday and shad a scan showing me at 8 + 3 weeks, so long way off to think about outfits, although i find myself wanting to look at baby clothes when im at the shops😍

Wow, your not showing yet. I'm trying to hide my bump (it doesn't help with the fact i have a little bulge before), as i dont want to tell anyone until im 12 weeks at least. fingers crossed you get to hear what you want to make your daughter happy on the 31st.
I'd like a little sister for my daughter, but if we have a boy we will have one of each which will be nice also. DH has told me we will need to wait for out 20 week scan to find out and not to get too keen and getting private scans arranged. So lots of waiting for me

Just catching up and good to hear you are all doing ok.Leanne glad you got seen and are feeling better.

I vaguely remember the sonography lady saying to me I had two small cysts but it was nothing to worry about. Had a good check all around during the scan, as I mentioned my previous loss and that this was an IVF pregnancy as soon as I walked in the room (incase I burst out crying lol).
I assume they’ll check it again at my next scan but I will mention it again just incase they don’t automatically check. I forgot all about it to be honest!

I had my combined testing results back today and am low risk so that’s another milestone to tick off.

Lou did you have your private scan today? Hope it went ok x
It went amazing, thank you for asking 🥰 we saw a beautiful heartbeat again and this time little legs and little arms and the start of facial features such as their nose! It was magical and perfect. We were blown away by how much detail we could see. The progesterone bloat is real though because they had to do an internal scan because they couldn’t see due to a ‘gassy’ bowel. So that was lovely for hubby to hear 🤣 nice and embarrassing but I’m on really high levels of progesterone and as long as baby is ok, I don’t really care! How are you feeling? So pleased your results came back low risk ☺️X
Im so pleased everything is going really well and the scan was so clear for you both. How exciting...the gassy bowel is not embarrassing at all, im sure they see los of it...part of the job. Like you say as long as the baby is ok x

I want to say a massive congratulations to everyone🌈❤🥰 , and may our journeys continue together to all the milestone to come.
I'm not one to chat on forums but you ladies are an amazing bunch and so supportive 🌈, reading you posts have been so reassuring for me and has got me this far.

A bit about my journey
I have DD🎀 in 2017 after 5 failed IVF attempts through immune protocol. My DD 🎀 is now 4 1/2 years old and has been meaning to come back so she has a sibling and use my frozen embryos, we had two transferred on 10th Dec 2021. I had no systems and really thought it hadn't worked, on 22.12.21 i tested and got my BFP 💕. With being on immune protocol the pregnancy symptoms such as nausea, sickness, tiredness and tender breasts can be masked with the drugs and some symptoms like the bloating and constipation (sorry for TMI) can be from the side affects of the pessaries and lubion injections (progesterone injections) i am using.

My validation scan was 7.1.22, and I saw a little heartbeat (luckily it not a multiple pregnancy). I was delighted to see a heartbeat........i was so terrified it might be a bi-chemical pregnancy or just a sac that i cried when i saw a heartbeat. What didn't help is my DH couldn't attend the scan due to Covid cases, and going on my own made me even more venerable to the fears i was holding. I got my discharge letter and sent to my doctor and called the midwife and have my telephone appointment booked on 26.1.22 at 9 + 4 days. Does anyone know if they arrange a scan date at this appointment please?

I am still very anxious, as i suspected i had a urine infection and went to see an out of hours GP over the weekend who tested my urine sample and confirmed I did. I was given some antibiotics and had to give another sample to my doctors to be sent away to be tested. My doctors called yesterday to say i didn't have a urine infection and may be cystitis.

I am due to go for a intralipid intravenous drip, which part of my immune protocol next Monday at Care clinic. Who said they would like to do another scan which would make 8 + 2. Im keeping my fingers crossed 🤞, everything is progressing as it should and the infection/cystitis hasn't affected my little bean.
Welcome kg44 your story sounds similar at this point to mine. I have a son who is 19months and am two weeks ahead of you with this pregnancy. Both were successful after two unsuccessful rounds of ivf. The key to both of my successes has also been immunology protocol. I had my son two weeks after my 41st birthday and this baby is due three months after my 43rd birthday. Never in my life plan to be an older mum but so thankful to be blessed to have the opportunity at any age.

I blame the later in life down to my husband who is six years younger - I joke I had to wait for him to hit puberty😂 tbf we met when he was 29 and I was 35. He’s from West Yorkshire too so we are up there a lot at the in-laws. His dads in Bradford and mum in Huddersfield. Where abouts are you? (Don’t answer if you’re uncomfortable tho!)
Thank you Flash 19, sorry for late reply my DD hasn't been well and not had chance to get on here. We do have a lot of similarities.
We live on the other side of Bradford. I didnt plan to be older mum either, but like you i feel blessed to have had the opportunity to experience to be a mum and at my age to be pregnant again. I'm excited but very grounded and anxious, mainly due to my age. Everything's going well so far and we got our BFP i should start relaxing more, but as so many of us know its not easy under normal circumstances and when you are doing it through ivf journey its more intense.

My husband works for Yorkshire Water so used to be in Bradford a lot- if sometimes go up and visit my friend in Skipton. Love it up that way into the dales!

I know what you mean re anxiety. I don’t think even in my last pregnancy I started to relax u til I got back the screening results after 12 weeks and the anomaly scan at 20 although tbh monitoring all the kicks etc I don’t think I fully relaxed until he was a few months old but that was ftm and pandemic and an awful feeder with weight loss 🙈 It’s all so intense! That’s why it’s great to have others on here who recognise the intensity of an ivf pregnancy!

Ahhh i jinxed it..
My sickness began again on Monday and is back with a vengeance. Am throwing up everything within an hour of eating/drinking. Have a headache as dehydrated and wee is so dark. Waiting to ring midwife at 8.30 cuz she said if cyclizine stops working I’d have to ring up for something else..
Just don’t want to end up in hospital on a drip which is what happened with previous pregnancies. Been an awful few days :(

Keeping everything crossed you don’t end up in hospital. It must be so miserable for you 😞 so sending a huge virtual hug x

Went at 3 and threw up around 4 times while I was there. They then injected cyclizine in my bum.. (nice!) and I need to go back today for another injection and maybe fluids, depending on my levels.. fun and games lol!!

Now I’ll be even more surprised if it isn’t a boy lol as this happened when I was pregnant with my son but not my daughter..!!

Aww Tazzy it sounds like you’re having such a rough time with it. I hope they can get the meds right and give you some relief soon!

I had a small bit of spotting yesterday (possibly we realised afterwards because I forgot one oestrogen tablet 🤦‍♀️) and so went to the EPU for a quick scan just to check everything and so saw a lovely wriggly baby measuring four days ahead so 11+2 it was so lovely to see the baby again! It’s so amazing how in just a month it goes from a blob and flash on the screen to a wriggly baby with a visible heartbeat! It’s no wonder we feel so tired in these early days!

Oh Tazzy I’m sorry you ended up in hospital! So good to hear you got some fluids though and it sounds like they have a plan now so hopefully things start to get a bit better.

Flash, spotting is so terrifying, so lovely to hear you were able to get scanned and see baby happy and healthy.
Sounds like it definitely could have been the missing an oestrogen tablet. Hope you’re feeling better today x

Awww congratulations! How lovey!
Are you telling family and friends the gender or keeping it between you and your partner?
We had our sneak peek results back yesterday so know our gender now but waiting for our private 16 week scan to confirm just be sure.
