Hi ladies, I’ve had my scan and baby is doing fine ❤️. Measuring 7+1 with a strong heartbeat. I have OHSS but only mild so should clear on its own. I’m so happy that baby is ok xx

Hi Ladies, I hope you are well. Congratulations Nark and Rosie82 on your scans. Super happy for you both. Hope you are doing something nice to celebrate.

Lindalu - all the best for your scan xx

I have some good and bad news. I have had my scan and I am only measuring 6w when I am 6 weeks and 4 days but we got to see a heart beat ❤️. Thankful to get to this point as this is the furtherest I have been able to get to. Praying my little one keeps fighting to survive. I had some bleeding yesterday with loads of cramping which was similar to a period - fresh red/then brown etc. They have found that I have some blood around the gestational sac which will need to come out, so I have been told it will make its way out over the next few weeks in the form of blood, clots and stringy stuff. They are rescanning me next Friday to check on the progress.

Thank you RPishopeful 😊. I'm glad your scan went OK and baby is fine. It's not a huge difference in measurements and hopefully next scan will be only confirmation that everything's OK.
I was reading about bleeding and it says that's common occurrence, it also has been confirmed when I spoke to my mate who's a midwife. My mum had bleeding like yours, similar to period over few days, she found out she's pregnant when she was in 2nd trimester x

Thank you Lindalu for your message, I was expecting the worse given the pain and bleeding yesterday but I was very much surprised to see the heart flickering. I just had tears rolling down my face..The nurse had to call the consultant in as she didn’t know what the area around the sac was? I am hoping the baby catches up at the next scan and the blood has been reabsorbed by the body. Bleeding is very common and has happened to a lot of people I know and I am hoping that this is just one of those things that happens. You don’t have long to go for your scan now. Praying you get the best news xx

Hi RPishopeful, thanks for your good wishes. I’m sorry you’ve had a mixed experience today but I think it’s really encouraging that you’ve seen a heartbeat. Your dates are not really far out and I know that the embryo develops rapidly in those early weeks so there will be plenty of time for it to catch up. I think it’s good that they have seen the blood so at least you know to expect some bleeding. That’s good that you have another scan and it’s not too long to wait - although I’m sure it must feel like forever. I will be keeping everything crossed for you. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 X

Tomorrow afternoon, I’m doing ok thanks we went away for a long weekend so that was a good distraction. Can’t wait for tomorrow to be here now.
Out of interest when did they advise you to stop your progesterone pessaries?

They told me to continue all of my meds until 12weeks (so just over 4 weeks for me). I’m on extra progesterone because my levels were low so as well as the pessaries, I’m on 2 lubion injections a day. The Dr said I can reduce those down to 1 a day at 10 weeks but everything else to keep the same to 12 weeks.
Best of luck for tomorrow! X

Thank you Rosie82.
I was just thinking today that they mentioned on the phone about continuing my inhixa and steroids until 12 weeks but stopping progesterone at 8 which makes me nervous and wondered what others had been advised.

Oh ok, I’m probably not the best person to compare to as I don’t respond well to any medication so my levels are always low and on the full dose of everything. 8 weeks might be normal for most people to come off the progesterone but obviously best to double check with them tomorrow and ask if you are worried about it x
