Re: November ‘23 babies ☺️

Thanks! Yes I’ve just come back from Asda and bought a couple of little things ☺️ It feels like it’s getting a bit more real now. One of my friends has two girls and she has already given me loads of clothes she was getting rid of so that is really fortunate and don’t think I will need to buy much else.
I’m going to wait a bit now though before buying any big ticket items like car seat, pram etc.
What about you? X

Rosie82 that’s excellent news so nice you know.

It’s good you have started to buy a few things. I keep saying to my husband we will start looking at things but will them in August.

I had my 16 week midwife appt today all went well and heard babies heart beat. Feel like the time is going abit fast some weeks. I had a really bad day Friday was sick a few times today feeling it too. I think I am just going to be one of those people with the nausea throughout.

I feel like my appetite has gone again too.

Hi AA28, that’s great news you’ve heard the heartbeat, I found that really reassuring to know the baby is still there, without necessarily having to have a scan.
What a shame you have been poorly again. How are you coping with work?

We’ve told quite a few people the news now and have also told my manager and team at work as I think it’s becoming obvious and most of my normal clothes don’t fit now. I actually feel a bit relieved now the cat’s out of the bag!

Hi Rosie82
I totally agree I haven’t booked a scan yet but did want to go this weekend or next week. It is reassuring to hear the heartbeat.
I also felt relieved after I had told people. I have told most of my family and close friends now.
How are you doing?
Work has been challenging at times as I have a very stressful job and this week I have finished early a few times. My nausea is still here had a really bad morning/ early afternoon today. I am really hoping it goes away.

I have had a heat rash that I had to go to the doctors about this week too how is work going for you? Do you work full time?

Hi ladies

Hope you are all doing well. I’m just catching up on messages. I’ve not been online much as I’ve been quite poorly, I’m suffering with Hyperemesis Gravidarum which is extreme pregnancy sickness. At my worst, I was vomiting 40 times per day and have had to be hospitalised for intravenous fluids twice. I’ve also had 3 UTIs thanks to being so dehydrated so I can’t say this has been a fun few months so far. I’m on lots of antisickness meds but they all have unpleasant side effects like extreme fatigue and awful constipation unfortunately. Luckily, baby seems to be doing okay but pregnancy is definitely the hardest thing I’ve ever been through. How are you all? Hope everyone else is having an enjoyable second trimester xx

Re: November ‘23 babies ☺️

Rosie82: great you have started treating your self to a few bits, my husband bought a few clothes after the 12 week scan and we have bought a bedside crib purely because it was the one I wanted and on offer. But other big things we will be waiting another month or so.

AA28: amazing you got to hear the heartbeat, sorry you are still not feeling brilliant! Even though I feel fine being at work definitely feels like a slog at the moment, made the crazy decision to start my masters alongside work last September also as a distraction to the IVF, but luckily my exams have now all finished for summer, so good job I haven’t had too many symptoms

Nark: I have been wondering how you were. Bless you, 40 times per day! That’s awful, positive that the baby is still doing well though. Are you starting to feel any better at all now you are in the second trimester or still ongoing the same? Got my fingers crossed that things start to improve quickly for you!

Hope everyone else is doing ok

Hi ladies, lovely to hear from you.
Hope you all feeling good and are busy preparing little place in your home for baby.
I haven't got anything for a baby yet, apart from free pack of nappies from Emma diary and few freebies 😜
I think we will start to buy stuff in about 2 weeks, after a scan.
I'm over 18 weeks now, first pregnancy.
I can't feel baby movements yet. Do you think it's normal? Can you feel anything? Are your bumps big? My only started to pop out around 1-2 weeks ago 😊

Hi Lindalu
Great to hear you are doing well.
My first pregnancy too and 18 weeks yesterday, and I don’t think I am feeling any movement anything I do feel I’m convinced is bowel/gas but you never know 😂. Friend who used to be a midwife said normal In first pregnancy for you to not really feel anything at this stage as you aren’t sure what it should feel like.
I feel quite large for myself and can easily tell I’m pregnant but again I think everyone is different.
I have my scan next week counting down the days. Everyone’s scan must be coming round soon?

Re: November ‘23 babies ☺️

Hi everyone,

Sorry haven’t posted for a while, just catching up on the messages. Hope everyone is doing well and coping in the heat!

I’ve got my 20 week scan on Monday - can’t believe we’re almost half way through!! The time seems to be going much quicker now. I have started to feel movements but I thinks it completely normal not to at this stage. It can depend on where the placenta is. One of my friends didn’t feel anything at all until about 24 weeks as she had an anterior placenta (at the front) which blocks the baby’s movements.I have a definite bump now, popped about 17 weeks but I think some people at work that I don’t know and haven’t told might still think I’ve just eaten loads of pies!! 😂

I’ve been feeling ok but have days when I’m really tired and still don’t have much appetite and having quite a limited diet as can’t face eating most thing.

Nark - I’m so sorry to hear what you’ve been going through, it sounds absolutely horrendous! I really hope you are continuing to improve and can enjoy the remainder of your pregnancy.

How is everyone else? What dates do you have for scans? Is anyone else planning to find out gender or have a lovely surprise?

I’m starting to have a bit of a browse and price watch for some of the bigger things like pushchair and nursery furniture. It still doesn’t feel real though!

Re: November ‘23 babies ☺️

Hi everyone

It’s good to hear everyone is ok.
Nark how you doing now?
I have my scan on the 4th July so have a couple of weeks to wait yet but I have an appt next week with the consultant. I am not going to find out what we are having and going to wait.

I have a small bump that appeared a few weeks ago but I think some of it is me bloated as well. I think I am feeling little flutters started this week but not sure. I know for first time pregnancy it can be later.

I need to start looking to buy things too but wanted to wait after my 20 week scan. I agree Rosie82 I feel after 12 weeks time is going very fast. I can’t believe we are all nearly at the halfway point.

Hi, how is everyone doing?
Sorry I havnt been on here for a while. I hate such bad hyperemesis then bad sinusitis. I have felt so unwell.
I'm finally starting to feel better and I am now 20+1. My scan date has changed due to short staffing and it is now 13th July ☹️ So a bit of a wait.
We are not finding out the sex of our baby this time. I have a daughter (11) and a son (7) and found out both times with them. I want a surprise this time.
I hope everyone is well x

Re: November ‘23 babies ☺️

Hi everyone,

My 20 week scan went well, everything looking perfect with the baby, measurements all in range and she is definitely confirmed as a girl! 💖 Only minor issue is that my placenta is low lying but they said there is plenty of time for it to move and not to worry about it yet.

Great to hear from you Lisa Marie. Sorry you’ve been poorly and your scan is delayed. That must be annoying.

Sounds like most are having a surprise on gender which is lovely. I would drive myself crazy not knowing, I am so impatient with things! 😂

I think I’m going to buy a few things now and have started looking at some nursery furniture.

Good luck for all the upcoming scans! X

Hi All

Great to hear your scan went well Rosie82.
LisaMarie that is so frustrating about your scan, glad you are finally starting to feel a little bit better.
Not long until your scan now AA28.

I had my anomaly scan today at exactly 19 weeks everything looking well, but baby measuring on the large side, was 5 days ahead at 12 week scan so now at 90th percentile 😂. Having to have diabetes checked again just to ensure. They said nothing to worry about at the moment, strange as I’m quiet thin, and weight hasn’t changed from pre pregnancy. Maybe they will be tall 😂.

Hope everyone well

Hi JSMS, sounds like your baby is thriving! 😃 The main things is that everything is looking healthy, there are bound to be variations in size and if I understand it correctly, that means baby is still in normal range just the top end of it? Hope your diabetes check goes ok. Keep us posted X

Hello ladies.

Sorry I wasn't talking much recently, I was waiting for the scan etc.

I've got an update on my 20 week scan. It was actually 20+6 scan today. Baby was found without a heartbeat, died over month ago, so looks like another missed miscarriage.

By the end of this week I should probably give a birth.

Apparently things like this don't happen often.

💕I hope you will give birth to lovely healthy babies, I wish you all the best 💕

I don't want to be here for my mental health reasons.

Hugs and kisses 🌸🌸🌸🌸💕 x

Hi all
Hope you’re ok.
I had my 20 week scan this week all went well and I saw the consultant last week and that went well too.
We have not found out the gender we want it to be a surprise. I am doing well we go on holiday tomorrow.
Looking forward to the break.

How is everyone else doing?
Has anyone brought anything yet?
I am thinking of start buying things when I get back from holiday.
