Re: November ‘23 babies ☺️

Hi AA28,

That’s fantastic news on your scan and glad to hear you are doing well. Hope you have a lovely holiday knowing everything is ok!
I have ordered my pushchair / car seat and nursery furniture as saw what I wanted at a good price but not having it delivered until September as we need time to get the nursery ready (need to get rid of some furniture as currently being used as a spare room)
I haven’t bought many clothes as one of my friends has given me loads of stuff so don’t need think I need much else.
I’m in awe of you all waiting to find out the gender - you are so much more patient than me! 😂 It will be a lovely surprise at the end though 😃
I am feeling much better in myself now and have a growing bump so starting to relax and enjoy the pregnancy.

How is everyone doing? Hope everything progressing well for everyone. Time seems to be going fairly quickly now!
No real update from me other than the consultant still hasn’t fully decided if I need to stay on the blood thinning injections, having some repeat blood tests to see if that will shed any light but think I will be nervous if told to come off them now!
Baby moving loads now such a strange feeling!

Hi JSMS and Rosie82

Hope you’re both ok. How you getting on?
I agree JSMS I think time is going very fast now.

I have started to buy things now and have my 25 week appt with the midwife next week. Can’t believe we are over halfway.

JSMS I hope they decide what they are doing with the blood thinness

Sorry I wasn't talking much recently, I was waiting for the scan etc.

I've got an update on my 20 week scan. It was actually 20+6 scan today. Baby was found without a heartbeat, died over month ago, so looks like another missed miscarriage.

By the end of this week I should probably give a birth.

Apparently things like this don't happen often.

💕I hope you will give birth to lovely healthy babies, I wish you all the best 💕

I don't want to be here for my mental health reasons.

Hugs and kisses 🌸🌸🌸🌸💕 x
I’m so so sorry to read this LindaLu. Sending you lots of love xx

Hi Ladies

Sorry I’ve been quiet again, I’ve still been struggling with hyperemesis which has made pregnancy quite a tough and lonely experience, although I am constantly grateful that baby is now kicking and seems to be doing ok.

We’ve got our travel system now and started to buy some other bits which is making everything seem very real and exciting.

How are you all doing? Xx

Nark bet you are counting down more than the rest of us, can’t believe how ill you have been even still at this stage!

We started decorating the nursery this weekend, exciting times, still need to go shopping for a travel system definitely too many options!

Has anyone got anymore scans booked? I have one when I am 27 weeks through the hospital, and have my 25 week midwife appointment week after yours AA28.

Re: November ‘23 babies ☺️

Hi everyone!
All fine here, I had a private scan at 24 weeks and had some 4D pictures of the baby which were amazing to see (although she looks a bit like an alien 😂).
I’ve got extra growth scans with NHS from 28 weeks and seeing midwife regularly for BP checks so lots of appointments!
I had a bit of a scare a couple of weeks ago as I was having some pains that were worrying me and midwife told me to go to hospital. Got checked over and they reassured me it was just stretching pains with the ligaments so then I felt a bit silly but I don’t know how you know what’s normal when it’s your first baby.
Agree time is going so fast now.
JSMS - impressed you have made a start on the nursery! What colours are you going for? I’m still waiting for my husband to get rid of some furniture before we can start 🙄 but I’ve chosen the wallpaper and curtains.
AA28 - how was your holiday? Lovely that you have started to buy things, makes it real doesn’t it!
Nark - so sorry to hear how poorly you’ve been. Great you can feel baby moving though, it’s such a lovely reassuring feeling. Hope you are doing ok x

Re: November ‘23 babies ☺️

Hi all, sorry I have been MIA. I have struggled a bit during the second trimester with sickness and stomach issues. I have so much to catch up on.

As for me, just before our 21 week, I had a bit of a scare where I had some cramps and felt a lot of pressure down there. I went to the hospital and they checked the baby’s heartbeat and everything was fine. They were content as I had a scan 2 days after. All well at our scan in terms of the baby’s measurements. We have also decided to keep the gender a secret. I also have a low laying plancenta meaning they are scanning me again at 32 weeks to see if it is has moved up. I am also now feeling kicks which feels a little weird and surreal but thankful to be experiencing this. My husband has started to decorate the nursery - neutral colours - white and sage green but we haven’t bought anything yet and I am starting to get anxious.

Rosie82 - I am glad everything was all well with your baby girl. It is a super scary when you get pains and it is hard to differentiate what is normal in pregnancy. Haha the 3D/4D scans are scary, I found the 20 week with all the bones lol could you see hair?
Nark - it sounds awful with all the sickness but I am glad the baby is doing well. Hopefully this is now easing as you get closer to the third trimester.
JSMS - glad your scan went well and your baby is thriving with measuring ahead. Hope the GTT testing went well. What colours are you using for the nursery as I think I read you also kept the baby’s gender a secret.
AA28 - hope you had a lovely break.

Sorry if I missed anyone but I hope you and bubba are doing well.

Have a great weekend everyone xx

Re: November ‘23 babies ☺️

Glad to hear everyone is doing well and scans / appointments have all been good.

RPishopeful your nursery colours sound lovely, I have my GTT next week so fingers crossed, have been monitoring my blood sugars at home here and there and they seem better than when I was on steroids so think I should be ok…. 😬.

Rosie82 I agree it is so difficult to know what is normal and what isn’t, always better to be safe.

We have gone with a cream and then a jungle type wallpaper on one wall, so the room is now all decorated and furniture set is up as all the boxes were all over the place. But still needs all finishing soft touches etc. Only took us a few days as most of room was neutral anyway only needed to paint one wall and a few touch ups and remove the other furniture.

AA28 hope your midwife appointment went well.

Hope you are all having a good week.

Re: November ‘23 babies ☺️

Hi all,

Love the sound of the nursery colours JSMS and RPishopeful. I have chosen my curtains (blush pink) and having a feature wall with wall paper with animals in balloons and then neutral paint for the rest. Getting rid of old furniture this weekend so hoping to make a start on decorating over the next couple of weeks in time for nursery furniture being delivered start of Sept. Can’t wait to have it finished and see her little room ☺️

RP - sounds like we’ve had a similar experience with our hospital trips. I’m glad I got it checked out as I’ve had the pains again a few times since so at least I know what it is now and don’t need to panic. I also had a low lying placenta at my 20 week scan but it moved up a bit at 24 week scan and they said it should continue to move up as uterus grows! 🤞🏻 Hope you are feeling ok x

I have a 28’week scan on 25th Aug with GTT diabetes test too then have another consultant appt on 31st.

AA28 and JSMS hope your tests go well next week. I’m also not looking forward to sitting in the hosptial starving hungry! 😬

Hi all

I had my GTT today it was hard as I am feeling so hungry at the minute. After having the drink and then waiting for 2 hours when I came to eating I felt sick. I have felt sick most of today. I think it’s the drink.

I have just had some fruit and thinking about what to have for dinner.

I had a private scan at the weekend it was good but I have an anterior placenta so it was hard to get some good pictures but we did get a few 4D ones.

Hope everyone else is ok. It sounds like we are all starting to prepare the nurseries.

Hi AA28,

Glad your scan went well and you got some photos. Can you feel the baby moving with an anterior placenta?
Did you get your GTT results straight away or do you have to wait? I have mine on Friday as well as my 28 week scan. I had a midwife appt yesterday and heard the heartbeat and baby was kicking the monitor!

I have anterior placenta too. We had our 4d last week but baby wouldn’t play ball and show his face so we are going for a rescan on Saturday and keeping fingers crossed he is a bit more willing to look at us.

I hated the GTT, threw me off for the whole week xx

Yes I can still feel baby movements. I got my GTT results a few days later I have gestational diabetes and have had a scan last week and they said baby is on the bigger size so they are monitoring the growth and scanning me every 4 weeks I don’t think baby will be too big as I am small and Petite. I also know the scans are not 100% accurate in weight.

So we had our house decorated earlier this year and painted the spare room like a light green/mint green so I am leaving the colour as I like it.

I have ordered the baby cot and furniture and it will be coming first week of October. What about you how are you?

We also had a 4D scan we yoy two pictures but they were not great because of baby’s position.

Hi, I have gestational diabetes too! Baby was exactly the right size on the 28 week scan but they’ll continue to monitor and I was due to have extra growth scans anyway. They started trying to monitor it by diet and testing 4 times a day but my readings are high even first thing in the morning before I’ve eaten anything or after I’ve had salad! 🤷🏼‍♀️ So they have put me on some medication and hoping that will start to bring it down. We’re going away for a week on Saturday (just UK) so think it is going to be challenging eating out.
How are you managing with it?

Our nursery furniture came last week but needs to be assembled and we are waiting to have a new carpet fitted in a couple of weeks. Nursery is decorated and looks lovely. All v exciting! ☺️

Hi All

Sorry for being so quiet been extra busy with work.
Glad to hear everyone is doing well and all the nurseries are coming along.
My GTT was normal but baby still measuring rather large at 28 week scan it’s femur is supposedly on the 98th percentile 😂 so I have a repeat scan next week when I will be 31 weeks.

Hope you are all still feeling well and managing to sleep, especially in this unbearable heat this last week.

Hi all,

How is everyone getting on?
So it’s getting very close now - exciting and scary at the same time! 😃
I have had lots of scans and monitoring. Everything is looking fine but the baby’s growth is slowing slightly and due to all my other complications they have given me a date to be induced early on 25 Oct when I’ll be between 37-38 weeks. I should have another couple of scans before then so the date could change but not very long to go at all!
Hope everything is going well for you all! Would love to hear how you are all getting on xxx

Oh not long now for you Rosie82! It's very exciting.
I'm doing okay, just always tired and it's more difficult to get anything done lol.
Baby is transverse so I'm hoping he/she turns soon! My hospital are conducting research for pre eclampsia and my results have come back as high risk so they will deliver baby at 39 weeks.
I hope everyone else is doing okay, we are almost there!!! x
