AOA or Zymot for embryo development

Hello, in our first round we did half IVF / half ICSI. We had 8 fertilised eggs out of 11 mature. Our embryos developed very slowly and so by day 5 we only had 1 low quality blasto.
For the next round one of the embryologists suggested using Zymot sperm selection with ICSI and also artificial oocyte activation (AOA) to see if it would help embryo development.
I am a bit sceptical because:
- we had better fertilisation with IVF than ICSI
- everything I’ve read on AOA says it helps with fertilisation, not embryo development

Has anyone else been recommended these add ons for embryo development?
