Anyone got any spare books on Adoption?

Hi everyone, we are starting the adoption process and would like some books. My library won't buy Approaching Fatherhood as it's not new on Amazon, and only has Adopting a child by Jenifer Lord as a reference book which isn't practical for me to read as we have an 18month old.
I'm not working at the moment so money is tight and I can't afford to buy them all from Amazon.
Many thanks, Lx

You can use any library in your county or the neighbouring counties, most have on-line records and will transfer books from one branch to another so I am sure you will track some down. Have a look on Adoption UK too, people often put them on eBay. I have brought from there in the past for just a few pounds.

Good luck x
Short Protocol (menopur) ICSI: Oct 2013 - AF arrived 7dp5dt, 3 Ice Pops left

Long Protocol (busereline) FET: Feb 2014 - BFN on OTD 9 April, 2 Ice Pops left...

Thanks, I've been getting them from the library and they have agreed today to buy in a lending copy of Adopting a child after I emailed them with my dilemma! The trouble is Approaching Fatherhood is out of print so can only come from the British library or another library. I'll keep an eye on ebay too. Thanks, Lx

Hi Lottie

I have a copy of both of these books that I could sell you cheaply. I also have Related by Adoption for grandparents etc to read and Children Exposed to parental Substance misuse that I am able to sell on. Don't know how much postage would be. I'm not working either so would need to cover the costs of P&P.

email if interested.
