Re: Immune protocol no Intralipids

Julie how did it all go- thinking of you :)

Ladies the clexane when you have a bump is awkward so I wasn't told to move to tops of legs and that was much better :)

If I o tomorrow as haven't today then weds I think will be transfer day.

If I've worked it out right do they count 5 days as day 1 after o? So fri - day 5 be weds? Or would it be tues?

Another scan tomorrow to see how it's going and more opk test if not ready yet.

Re: Immune protocol no Intralipids

I'm PUPO! Had a total freak out earlier- it got to 1.15pm and I still hadn't heard anything so I called. They'd delayed contacting me as they'd been concerned and needed to give it a bit more time. It has lost a few cells in the thaw but it re-expaned into a blastocyst in the end so they were happy. All the right bits are still there! Phew! The transfer went well and I actually saw it pop into position for the first time as my bladder was so full it gave a brilliant picture. We were kept waiting for 2 hours as they were running late but we didn't care as long as we got to do the transfer!

5 days makes sense if you have a 5 day blast. Hope you do ovulate tomorrow then! It's so interesting that they do rely on opks as lots of sites seem to say they don't guarantee ovulation. I'm glad they do indicate it though as I always use them each month when we are trying naturally.

Re: Immune protocol no Intralipids

Congrats Julie fingers crossed for you!

I’ve had my phone call - can not go with this cycle as the test did not show ovulation. Another month. The nurses reassured me that they will call tomorrow with further plans and ideas to try. Really wanted a more natural cycle this time. Very frustrating!

I think your right with Those timings

Can I ask what the advantages are over a medical cycle? The natural thing is totally new to me. Sorry it hasn't worked this time but best to wait until optimal conditions I guess.

Re: Immune protocol no Intralipids

It’s very new to me but it’s been explained to me this way so hopefully it will help.

Less drugs so less needles.

Less follicles grow- aiming for 5 (no mor) so going for quality over quantity. The idea for me is higher quality of egg to help with better embryo growth? Everything else is the same I believe. The key is to time ovulation and this is where I have fallen down 🙄

I bet your excited now - 2 week wait eeek! Can’t wait to be in that position. Xx

Re: Immune protocol no Intralipids

Oh I see yes that does make sense when going for quality not quantity. Hopefully next month will be the one. Have you just been using the lh sticks to predict ovulation?

Re: Immune protocol no Intralipids

Well I'm using trigger shot tonight otherwise I could have needed transfer on a Sunday again!

So we have decided to go ahead trigger tonight and aiming for transfer Friday :)

My lining 9.2 and one follicle 17mm so nearly ready but naturally she said could take 2-3 days so that's why they doing trigger.

Julie - when did you stop aspirin they didn't say I start clexane Tuesday and increase steroids to 20mg.

Julie - fab news fx for you - remember rest up for a few days and chill :)

Wannabe - Sorry to hear that your cycle has been postponed :( hoping all works out for you next cycle please keep us posted xxx

Re: Immune protocol no Intralipids

Yay Beck that's brilliant news! Not long now!

I stopped asprin the same time as the menopur, I'd give them a call tomorrow to check as I think they said if it had been a fresh round I'd have stopped the day of the trigger. I had to ask as it wasn't mentioned on my protocol.

Re: Immune protocol no Intralipids

They shut today - I also wanted to check with the trigger can you ohss - I'm having that low pain again - think it's me ovulating as I do tend to get that low pain but feels a bit stronger.

I've not been on any stimms just natural - last time I did ohss with the stimms and really wasn't nice so worried now as didn't ask yesterday it was such a rush.

Re: Immune protocol no Intralipids

No you definitely can't ohss with out the stimming drugs don't panic. I'd stop with the asprin personally as didn't they say you'd be stopping before transfer or otherwise call on Mon to ask. With the egg retrieval being a surgical procedure I don't think they'd want you on a blood thinner. Xx

Re: Immune protocol no Intralipids

Thank you :) phew

I'm just having transfer done no egg retrieval they frozen ones :) so assume if stay on the clexane for that?

I'll check with clinic but was thinking I'll stop aspirin tomorrow and start clexane tues as last time I was off blood thinners for four days - found my old paperwork - that was for egg retrieval though xx

Oh yes of course. Just check what the clinic say Mon. It's lovely not to worry about OHSS! One of my friends ended up in hospital for a week with it! Xx

Re: Immune protocol no Intralipids

That's why I was worried earlier I was like I don't want that back- lucky I only had it mild and that was painful - on Mother's Day 2016 it happened right before I tested positive for pregnancy.

Ithe nurse at the time said it was the start and can get a lot worse before better - but that was my worse bit then after two weeks it eased and went - was the weirdest pain-I had fluid from my right side leaking as they were still producing.

Had to drink lots and I mean lots of water and rest and walk to clear it. They scammed me to check it every week and bloods to make sure it was going.

Hence why I was like please no not that :)

Was your friend ok afterwards? x

Re: Immune protocol no Intralipids

Oh right it's good that you shook it off quickly. My friend is ok now but she had to delay the transfer. The hospital dismissed her, she went to Care for the transfer and they rightly send her home as she was too ill bless her.

Re: Immune protocol no Intralipids

Aw no that's horrible :( bless her.

I think mine didn't start till after embryo on board and that's how we knew iwbas pregnant as it come on afterwards.

They wouldn't have done it if I'd have had signs before hand but I must have just had it mild as didn't seem to have symptoms before was strange one.

Re: Immune protocol no Intralipids

Hi ladies,

They have decided to go with the short protocol now which unsure if I’m happy about.

I only had 3 short protocols at Leeds, however it was so long ago I can’t remember the difference between the long and short. Do you ladies know?

Re: Immune protocol no Intralipids

I'm on a short one now - I think it's just that they don't wait for another period and stay on buerslin as long - mines natural so no buerslin so could be wrong.

Sorry can't be of much help as not really sure what the difference is.

Fx for you - I prefer the short to long as hate the waiting around but xx

Re: Immune protocol no Intralipids

I'm on long this time so I started the cycle before and injected suprecur to quieten the ovaries, it puts you into a medical menopause. It's easier doing the short so if be chuffed if I was you! You'll be getting on really quickly! Xx

Re: Immune protocol no Intralipids

That's great wannabe! Only a few more days to go now. Is it driven by af coming?

I'm struggling on the 2ww! 😔 I had a real melt down at 4dpt as I convinced myself on previous rounds I've had some symptoms by then so I've been testing every day since. Although I've seen a bfn every day I feel back in control and more positive that it could change. Today is 7dp5dt which is when I got my bfp the first time, but that was with a fresh transfer and hatching blast so it makes sense that it was quite quick. Lots that I've read says day 9/10 Are more likely. Thankfully we've had a few snow days so I've been able to chill at home with my hubby and cats which has been nice and cosy!

Beck I hope it's not too snowy where you are so you can get in for your transfer easier tomorrow.

Re: Immune protocol no Intralipids

Hi ladies,

hope everyone is doing well.

Julie37 my fingers are crossed for you 🤞🏻

Sorry been away a while had issues getting on.

We had our consultation with the Dr from Nottingham and he was lovely and really broke everything down for us so we finally understood things better 👍🏼 We’ve decided to not do any immune testing with our next cycle but instead try the endometrial scratch with our last funded cycle and I’m booked in for this the 16th.

Have any of you had this done and if so what we’re your experiences?

Re: Immune protocol no Intralipids

The 2ww is the worse. Didn’t realise you already had children. What signs were you hoping for? I’ve always got negative results and started with lots of early pregnancy signs and were told they were due to the meds. Ive got crossed for you. I’d like to say don’t test but I’m just like you from day 13 I start testing. The best thing to do is stay positive. They say it’s massively to do with that.

Hi Stacy, I had the scratch a couple of year back not successful for me however lots of ladies on here have been successful after having the scratch.
