No measurements?

Hey all

Had our first scan - close to 8 weeks in by normal calculations but the nurse said they don’t take measurements at this stage now?! Due to the tiny size the little bean is etc. But we had measurements when we last did IVF at this stage?
Wonder if it is because we went with natural cycle this time? Non medicated?

We’ll get bean measured at 12/20 weeks, I know. Just a surprise that they don’t measure now. Are measurements accurate as time goes by? To the day and week? We go by the EDD we are given I know but if the next scan is a few days ahead or not, is that normal?

I also had my scan today - they did measure the CRL but not sure how significant it is at this stage didn’t think to ask just asked if everything was measuring as it should. The measurement is then compared to average sizes for gestational age I think to date the pregnancy but I would imagine there is a range of sizes that it could be at this stage.
Did they tell you everything looked ok for 8 weeks? In which case I’m sure all is fine and they most likely also have other methods to satisfy them that everything is ok rather than just the measurement
It is strange that all clinics do things differently!
