Hi MAB,
Nothing too big to spot, I swear I’ve had one or 2 moments of nausea today but tbh it’s prob anxiety!

I’m on steroids -predisnlone and most people say they do be wired on them and I’m not if anything little tired

Nothing huge to report or that wouldn’t be progesterone related!!

Random question, but do you have a Fitbit type watch?! I’ve heard resting heart rate stays steady after transfer then tends to go up if you’re pregnant or starts to go down as you head towards period if you’re not and just wondered if that had been true for you if you have a watch as you mentioned being hot?! I’m only 2dpt and already starting to obsess over my heart rate on my Fitbit app 😅 x

Hi Purple, yay we have the same transfer date 😊. What clinic are you with? I am with Nottingham. My protocol says that testing is 16 days after transfer which I thought was quite long. I don’t know if I will be ale to hold out that long. Does your protocol say something similar? It’s nice to have cycle buddies. I am currently on 6 x 2mg estrodial tablets, 6 pessaries, 10 mg prednisolone and 1 lubion injection. I have to increase my pred to 20 mg and start Inhixa injections on transfer date along with all the other meds. I have also had an intralipid infusion. My protocol is slightly different to yours. You can let me know how the Inhixa injections are as I am not looking forward to them.

That’s great news that 4 of the eggs fertilised, praying they all make it to blasts and you have some available to freeze. How many are you planning on transferring?

Have a good day xx
Hey,

I'm at Care Northampton so not too far away from you. My OTD is usually say 13 or 14 so that's not too bad - weird yours is day 16? I normally hold out but think I'd be tempted to do early if OTD was day 16!

I forgot how rubbish the pessaries are and doing 2 three times a day is annoying. Will let you know how the Inhixa go tomorrow. What was the intralipid like and do you have to have again? I'm having a blood test to check my progesterone levels on Tuesday as I have a short cycle and tend to bleed before the end of the 2ww so have a feeling even with pessaries I'm not getting enough but hope I'm wrong and don't need the lubion as well. Honestly all the drugs we need and multi vit it's hard to what out what to do when!

Depending on the quality we might transfer 2. The clinic prefer not as even though I'm almost 40 the eggs will be younger so hopefully higher chance of success 🤞 How about you? How many embryos have you got frozen? Xx

This is my fourth transfer so just trying to maximise the odds! Knowing that one was not quite a blast makes me feel like it was just the same as having 1 really though.

Ahh, I’m sorry to hear about the two that didn’t make it, but 4 fertilised is a really good number and I’d say you def have a good chance of two embryos. In terms of numbers of embryos for me - round 1 = 9 eggs/6 fertilised/4 embryos; round 2 = 3 eggs/2 fertilised/1 embryo; round 3 = 3 eggs/3 fertilised/3 embryos but 1 blast at day 5, 1 heading towards to blast but not confirmed and 1 perished. Don’t ask me what’s happened to my eggs after that first round cos I’ve no bloody idea 🤦🏼‍♀️ 😅 I totally know what you mean about the rollercoaster, things just seem to change so quickly don’t they and you never know what to expect. Wishing you lots of luck with it. Are you doing a fresh transfer? X
That's helpful to know how many embryos you got. Thank you 😊

Yes after 3 transfers totally understandable you want to increase chances. We've done 4 transfers- 3 fresh and 1 FET so planning on doing a fresh transfer on Weds but also would like to transfer 2 if can or ideally have 1 to freeze for a sibling or a FET so depends on the quality. Hoping we have that option!

Hey LilacRose

I do normally wear my Garmin but haven't been this week as just been training steady and trying to keep HR down. I did have one evening where my HR felt elevated when I went to bed, I could hear it in my ear if that makes sense and I felt like I had too much caffeine!!!

Afternoon, ladies!

It’s transfer day tomorrow! So excited to have our little embryos back, really hope they want to stay with us. I’ve seen from scanning posts that two of you have your BFP’s and I’m so, so happy for you both! Feel free to sprinkle that baby dust all over this thread if you get a chance 😂

We are at Care Nottingham, anyone else with us? My friend had IVF at Northampton and found them to be really good so I hope you girls there are having the same experience.

Lots of luck to all of you, wherever you are on your cycles ✨✨✨

Fingers crossed for you on Weds, keep us posted!

Finding this 2ww quite hard so far to be honest and I’m only on day 3! Might actually get easier when I get back to work tomorrow, good distraction! I just feel a bit negative and emotional. It’s not like me really, but I think the repeated failures are just starting to wear me down a bit x

So sorry to hear about your mum MAB. I can relate as we were in the same position with my mum - she was diagnosed 5 days before our wedding (though she didn’t tell us) - we had our lg 14 months later and she was just this total ray of sunshine, source of joy, light in the dark at a very hard time - it was so good for my mum as she was distracted and happy. We had 2 more years together and then she became my reason for keeping going on the hardest days and put a smile on my face no matter what ❤️ Truly a little god send for you all at this difficult time. Sending lots of love x

A couple of techniques with injections I’ve found quite good - use one of those gel ice packs wrapped in a tea towel to totally numb the area (though not nice if you don’t like being cold!). And a tip I read on here recently which was apparently passed on by a children’s nurse - rub the area in circular motion to get the blood flowing, pinch firmly, inject, then afterwards tap round the area with your finger. I found this really effective! I had a reaction to one of my drugs this time and consultant told me to inject slowly and then massage the area afterwards and also found that really helped, think it disperses the drug quicker so less stingy. I’ve had lubion before on one of my rounds and do remember it being sore :( x

Xx
Hey, 16 days just seems a little long, over 2 weeks to test will be difficult for me. I usually hold out testing as well but in my last fresh cycle in sept, I bled at 9dp5dt so I tested early and knew the result. You can keep me going this cycle 😊

I know keeping up with all the meds and the vitamins gets a bit too much sometimes but I have created a spreadsheet after someone else mentioned it on these threads. It’s really helping me keep up with the protocol. If you have loads as well, it may be an idea? The side effects of the pessaries have already kicked in which is annoying.

The intralipid infusion itself wasn’t too bad but I felt really nauseas and headachey after. If I get a BFP, I will need to have another at that stage and then again at 12 weeks or something. We are on slightly different immune protocols I take it as you weren’t advised to have the intralipids?

I have a short cycle too and bled early in my last fresh, so I am getting my progesterone tested on transfer date so they can adjust lubion if need be. I think it’s worth getting it tested to make sure you are getting enough progesterone but the lubion injections do sting.

I wanted to transfer two as well but as the embryos were created when I was 36, they are against a double transfer. They may let you transfer two then? I have 3 Frosties in the freezer and just hoping the first one out thaws nicely. I will have everything crossed for you that your 4 embryos make it with great chances of success and with ones to freeze for siblings

In terms of the injections, I tend to do them on my thighs. I pinch the skin and then inject onto the site and then hold for 5 seconds. But it always stings. How did you find the Inhixa injection? Did you do that as well as lubion? X

Good luck Liz for the transfer today - Keep us posted.

I am with Care Nottingham and I find them to be really good at keeping us informed, returning calls etc. Hope you find them to be the same x

OMG MAB! that's exciting news and so happy for you to finally see that BFP. Positive vibes heading your way it's a sticky little bean and leads to lots of good news for this group 😊💜 xx
Thanks @ Puple286 yes hoping this little bean is the one x At the same time we started IVF I found out my mum had uncurable cancer, she is currently doing chemo and I can't wait to tell her to give her some hope and cheer her up. It's been a tough few months for sure.
Hi MAB, I am so sorry to hear about your mum. This amazing news will be just what your mum and family need right now. Sending you big hugs x
