Re: November 2022
I’m ok thank you
. Just waiting for my EMMA/ALICE results which are taking longer than anticipated - I was hoping to get them today but they said it might be next week now.
We also had our frozen embryos PGTA tested on Tuesday - they all survived the thaw, biopsy and refreeze so keeping everything crossed for a positive result in a few weeks
then we can make a plan for the new year! I figured I just wasn’t prepared to do another transfer without having more assurances xx

So I shouldn’t be surprised but I am driving myself crazy already. I was surprisingly calm for a few days but have now convinced myself it’s all go wrong again. I’ve been feeling less tired the last few evenings so paranoid about that. I don’t want to do an early scan as did last time so I have ordered some hcg bets blood tests
prob be a week yet though by the time they come, I send back and then get results xx

Oh Applecart, so sorry to hear you’re struggling
I’m sure everything is absolutely fine but it’s totally normal to feel like that’s not the case, after a journey like this! When is your scan booked for?

Re: November 2022
@applecart sorry to hear you’re in that space. I felt incredibly anxious this time too and was exactly the same about scans as in I want one but I don’t because you’re trying to get ahead of where you lost last time. Equally, there’s a risk of seeing nothing up until 7 weeks anyway.
I know you know this, but realistically there’s nothing you can do other than wait out these torturous 3 weeks to find out where you’re up to.
You’re going to be very up & down but try to keep busy (easier said than done) because you just need to make it to your scan. Symptoms as early as you are are going to come and go - which is SO triggering when we’ve experienced that loss of symptoms before during our mmc. But my advice is that you need to just see out the day, because they could be back in the following couple of days. It’s so stressful.
I still feel so anxious. I think you’re living out the unfortunate reality of pregnancy after loss and it’s hard to find the peace and enjoyment when you’ve felt that grief. Don’t be hard on yourself and should you need to share anxieties, please do! X

Sounds like you’re going to have a plan of action in place by the new year! So positive.
@kim89! How are you getting on?
Re: November 2022
Thanks I know you are right really. You start driving yourself mad though don’t you. Like I realised the aspirin I have been using was out of date
I would hope that wouldn’t make a difference but I can’t help the little voice that says maybe that’s why things might have gone wrong x

Re: November 2022
@applecart Thinking of you. I'm sure the aspirin won't have made any difference. And I wouldn't worry about having no symptoms yet. You're still very early. I don't think I had any symptoms until about week 5 or 6. When you get symptoms you'll be wishing you didn't have them believe me! I would gladly give you some of my nausea!
I'm 13 weeks and still have nausea. I'm so fed up with it, and fed up of lying on the sofa not having a life.
I have a scan this Friday. The scan is where it all went wrong for me last time so I'm feeling very nervous

Re: November 2022
Oh Siba I can imagine how anxious you must feel leading up to scan! I know you are 13 weeks but is this your ‘12’ week nhs scan? Sorry you are feeling so sick still. I know I would hate it but would take some sickness right now. I thought I felt a bit sick yesterday morning but nothing today so prob just anxious sick feeling. I think it’s not the lack of symptoms that is bothering me, it’s how I felt totally exhausted every day and had sort of pulling stretching feelings low down and then both just vanished over night last Weds and I have felt pretty normal ever since. The sudden loss of symptoms isn’t usually a good sign. Well I did the blood test and got it in the post tonight so hoping to get results by Friday

When you say week 5/6 do you mean after transfer or according to pregnancy dates coz I was technically 6 weeks on Sunday. Re: November 2022
I get confused with all that but I started getting nausea about 5 days before my scan at Care. But my scan was a week later than they usually book because I was in Portugal. So I think that means I had the nausea in week 6? or would it be 5?
Yes I think it will be the equivalent of the 12wk scan. It doesn't say on the booking.
Really hoping yours is still OK. When's your scan? Are your pregnancy tests still coming back as positive?

Applecart - how are you doing? I have every faith that your scan will be ok
but I know that won’t help the anxiety, which is natural.
Siba - good luck for the scan today. Let us know how you get on
I got all my results back this week - something came back on the EMMA test, which they think could have been caused by the miscarriages (not surprising given how long the 1st and 3rd one took!) so I’m on antibiotics and then 5 weeks of probiotics and then another dreaded biopsy to make sure all cleared.
We also got our PGTA back today - we have one Euploid, one they weren’t clear on (so have a follow up with a genetic counsellor to see if we’d like to use it or not) and one aneuploid (which we can’t use). I definitely feel some relief that we can make healthy euploid embryos as I’ve had some serious wobbles thinking it’s not possible for us. She also said it’s bang in line with their normal stats, which I’m taking as a win! (Don’t get many of those right now
)
Also sort of relieved that something came back on the EMMA as it means there’s finally something ‘treatable’ , even though it will delay us another 6 weeks.
Kim - I hope everything is going well with your meds xx

@applecart Do you have your blood test results?
@kmor How many embryos tested ok with the PGTA? Have you only lost one with the testing? And one that's a bit uncertain.
My scan today was good
baby boy is fine in there and the midgut herniation has sorted itself out like they said it would. This is the furthest we've got so far!

Re: November 2022
Hey, got the blood test results today. Not the worst news but not good either. HCG is 1250 so within the normal range but defo at the very low end of normal and I can’t see how it has been doubling all these weeks every 47 hours and still be that low. Won’t get next results until Monday. I had also booked in for hcg test at the clinic Monday and weds in case something went wrong with this one but guess I can cancel it - though maybe not incase the second test doesn’t work. Might do the Monday one and then cancel the weds if I don’t need it.
Great news about your scan Siba. KMor, We had the same same 6 week delay with the antibiotics and probiotics. Was annoying but did go quickly.

Re: November 2022
Well it’s supposed to double every 48 hours and mine went up around 400 in just over 48 hours so not even close. Got my seconds results at 5.30 last night so was too late to ring the clinic (I didn’t go in the end on Monday as I had paid to do these over tests). I rang my early pregnancy unit and explained the situation. She said I would need referring as you can’t self refer so to get the clinic to refer this morning. She said I would probably be seen today but if not then tomorrow. Just hope someone at the clinic gets back to me asap xStarGirl wrote: ↑Mon Nov 27, 2023 9:42 pmI don’t really know that I understand HCG levels so can’t even comment.Applecart wrote: ↑Fri Nov 24, 2023 8:35 pm Hey, got the blood test results today. Still feeling sick frustratingly. Had a few migraines too, my last one was Sunday and Monday and was 48 hrs of vomiting. I cant take my usual medication which gets rid of them in about 30 mins as it's aspirin based.
If they keep happening I'll have to see if the Dr can give me anything.
The nausea is just clinging on, ugh! My sense of smell is still through the roof too, my poor other half is having to brush his teeth constantly
