Hi ladies,
Starting a new thread for those of us with due dates in November (or around then). Would be lovely to keep in touch throughout our pregnancies and see how everyone is getting on.
How is everyone feeling today? X

Re: November ‘23 babies ☺️
Morning ladies
I am ok but struggling to eat and drink. When they tested my urine I have protein and ketones they said I really need to try and eat and drink more.
I am feeling sick most days but some days are better I don’t have much of an appetite though. How is everyone else doing with food?
Like you Rosie82 get twinges and sore breasts on and off.

Hello all!
Thanks for making this group
I'm feeling hungry, then sick, then hungry and sick... I can't get comfortable in bed at night, I've got forever dry mouth, twinges like needle stabs around my belly button.
Today I received letter about the 12 week scan which is actually when I start week 14 (bit late). I've got arranged initial midwife appointment and a phone call which will be this Saturday x

Hi AA28 - sorry you are feeling so poorly. I am finding eating helps my nausea a bit but it seems to come in waves for me rather than being there all the time, thankfully. Is there anything you can find that you don’t mind eating too much and just try and stick to that, maybe something bland like toast or pasta or I’ve found having something citrusy can help. I’ve found lemon & ginger tea in the morning is good too.
Hi Lindalu - I am really thirsty still and dry mouth too at night time. Has your spotting stopped now?
I told my GP surgery as soon as I had a positive test and they’ve been super quick at sorting everything for me. I’ve already had my midwife appointment and my blood / urine tests came back ok. I’ve also had my 12 week NHS scan date through for 5 May when I’ll be 12 weeks 2 days.
I’ve decided to book a private scan in between at around 10 weeks as 4 weeks feels like a long time to wait and I’d rather not have any surprises having had MMC at 12 weeks before.

Re: November ‘23 babies ☺️
Hi ladies, hope you’re all doing ok. Today is the first day I’ve felt a bit more human. Still nauseous but able to keep food down and not feeling as bad. Wondering if maybe it’s my ovary going down or perhaps because I’m coming to the end of my antibiotics. I’m glad it is the Easter weekend, I’ve been so tired so it will be nice to relax! My midwife appointment is next week, on Thursday so I’ll be 8 + 3. I’ve not had my NHS scan through yet xx
Re: November ‘23 babies ☺️
Rosie82 the spotting stopped now thankfully.
Nark I'm glad you're feeling better.
AA28 there's a condition called hypermesis gravidarium- are your symptoms similar? Sorry you feel poorly I hope you feel better soon.
I'm looking forward to Easter and all Easter food
.
I didn't tell anyone at work (colleagues I mean) that I'm pregnant, did you?
It was nice to have that confirmation that all weird symptoms coming and disappearing are normal.
I'm so tired today I can't even write a lot. Have a lovely evening ladies x

Re: November ‘23 babies ☺️
Hi Ladies
I have managed to eat and drink abit more today.
I am having food like toast, jacket potatoes and chips.
I feel like my appetite has gone and a lot of food I liked before I am out of at the minute.
Yes they did talk about HD at the hospital but they said that’s when someone is sick 10 times or more.
Today I have not been sick but have felt like it. I am physically not being sick a lot but feel nauseous.
Hoping I am over the worst.
Rosie82 I am also thinking of having a private scan too.

Hello all
Thanks for setting up a new group.
Glad to hear you are both feeling a bit better Nark and AA28.
My midwife appointment is on the 19th which would make me exactly 9 weeks, I only contacted them on Wednesday after my scan with care.
I’m also considering a private scan around the 10 week mark for piece of mind.
The midwife said I will also be referred to a consultant to be seen around 12 weeks hope they let me come off the inhixa those injections are driving me crazy!

Hi all, hope everyone is enjoying the lovely sunshine and the long weekend. It’s so nice to have a break from work as I’ve been feeling so tired.
Glad you have been able to eat a bit more AA28 and Lindalu good to hear your spotting has stopped.
JSMS I am also supposed to be referred to a consultation for my blood clotting issue but not heard anything more on that yet. I was told by my haematology consultant that I need to take inhixia for the duration of the pregnancy and until 6 weeks post delivery. I hate doing the injections, they sting so much and I’m absolutely covered in bruises, I seriously don’t see how I will be able to do it for 9 months! X

Re: November ‘23 babies ☺️
Hi ladies
Sorry you’re feeling super sick.
When I went to EPAU this week the nurse advised to
eat little and often and that seems to be helping me.
What I have noticed when I go long periods without eating 3-4 hours I feel very sick.
I am not eating full size meals either and that seems to help.

Re: November ‘23 babies ☺️
Hi Ladies, update from me... I'm so irritable, everything makes me angry... Especially today when I came back home from work and my cat was screaming like crazy for the 2h doesn't matter what I was doing she was giving me this attention seeking concert of a needy cat. I had to go downstairs and lock myself in living room away from her. Apart from cat, tv noise annoys me. For the last few days I toss and turn in bed, it so uncomfortable, pillows are too hard, husband takes too much space...
Plus I feel cold.
Plus my jeans are getting too tight.
Is it only me?

Re: November ‘23 babies ☺️
Hi Lindalu, you’re not alone! I had that a couple of weeks ago. The smallest thing would give me absolute rage and make my blood boil!
I’m in a more tried, emotional, tearful phase at the moment though. I’m definitely finding it hard to control my emotions, think it must be all the hormones.
If you’re finding it difficult to get comfortable in bed, maybe you need to get a pregnancy pillow. I don’t have one yet but have read good things about them.
My sense of smell is so heightened at the moment, everything is making me feel sick, even my face wash that I normally like the smell of - so weird.
I’ve eaten loads this weekend, it seems eating something is the only thing that stops me feeling sick so I think I am getting fatter and it’s nothing to do with the baby!
Hope everyone else is ok and had a lovely Easter
X

I'm the same if it comes to food Rosie82, I eat a lot to prevent being sick. I think the same about my jeans.
I'm not really feeling a big change in my smell... Bring on next weeks lol x

Re: November ‘23 babies ☺️
Rodie82 and Lindalu hope you’r both ok.
I am feeling the same irritable at the smallest of things. I have definitely found eating little and often helps but yesterday it didn’t work and I ended up being sick. I felt sick all day and didn’t feel like doing anything.
My sense of smell is very high. I feel like I am putting on weight around my thighs/hips.
I can’t wait to have another scan. I haven’t had a date for my NHS one yet.

Re: November ‘23 babies ☺️
Glad it’s not just me that can’t stop eating! Plus the only thing I want is carbs! I definitely think this is the reason my jeans don’t fit
Re: November ‘23 babies ☺️
It’s carbs, cheese and chocolate for me. I’m going to get so fat!!
Is anyone else feeling really tired? I’m just exhausted all the time even though I’m sleeping loads. I’m really struggling with work this week. I went into the office yesterday and it completely wiped me out.

Re: November ‘23 babies ☺️
Rosie82 Carbs are the only thing I am really eating I am eating so much chips and jacket potatoes.
I am also feeling exhausted and napping in the day loads getting out of bed late.
I have been abit worried this evening as I have had some more brown discharge. Since last week it’s been on/off I go a day or 2 without it then get a small amount. I am not in any pain.
I am thinking whether to call EPAU again tomorrow. When I saw the nurse and consultant they said it was normal and there was no bleeding on my scan but it is still worrying me.

Re: November ‘23 babies ☺️
Hi AA28, I’m sure it’s nothing to worry about if you have no other concerning symptoms and you have been told it is normal, but if it were me I would probably contact EPAU again. It can’t do any harm and they will hopefully be able to put your mind at rest. Do you have another scan booked at all or were you planning to wait for your 12 week one? X

Re: November ‘23 babies ☺️
Rosie82, yes I'm tired too. When I'm back home from work I change into pj and get straight in bed.
Plus I've got very dry mouth, thirst and frequent urination, especially during night. Not feeling hungry or sick anymore.
