How are you getting on with your injections? My partner has been the one taking all the medication and I'm in awe at the ease she does them all now!

We're about a week into our HRT FET medication, have our lining scan next week so hopefully all looking good ready for December transfer.
They’re actually fine and I don’t feel any side effects so far! And that’s good that she’s doing them so easily too!

What day is your lining scan?

I’ve got my scan on Saturday to see when I’ll be ready for my egg collection! 😊

That's good you're doing so well on the medication! I'm honestly in awe watching my partner take the injections and just amazed how you all do it ❤️

Our scan is 27th and transfer booked in for 4th Dec. Nervous energy is starting to float around in our house again 😅

I hope all goes well with your scan on Saturday and there's lots of follicles!
How's it going Mck128?

Are you still on track for transfer on the 4th?

I had my egg retrieval yesterday, hopefully if some reach blastocyst stage, will be on for transfer on the 6th 😊🤞🏻

We're still on track for tomorrow - getting very excited and nervous! Just had our progesterone blood test back and it was 32.5 but they like it to be 44, so partner Will be doing a few injections over TWW to get it up a bit more.

I hope there's good news with your eggs, I've got all my fingers crossed you get some good embryos all set for 6th 🤞🏼🤞🏼

That’s so exciting, good luck for tomorrow!
Fingers crossed for you both! 🤞🏻🤞🏻
And thank you!
They only got 6 eggs but 5 have fertilised so hopefully they’ll be at least one to reach the blastocyst stages on day 5 😊🤞🏻

Re: December 2023 cycle buddies

So we still have our two eggs, which have now been graded. We have one good egg and one that’s average. Just praying one of them makes it through to transfer day on Wednesday!

Good luck Mck128, sounds like you’re doing amazing!

That’s amazing that both fertilised! 😊
Got everything crossed for you tomorrow! I’m waiting for the phone call tomorrow morning to see if any of mine have made it to the blastocysts stage ready for a fresh transfer tomorrow 🤞🏻

Re: December 2023 cycle buddies

The wait does already seem unbearable! Took the wheelie bin out earlier because my husband wasn’t here to do it and I thought afterwards, ohh my gosh, what if I’ve moved the embryo, I’ve had a bit of a cold so been blowing my nose and thought ohh no what if I’ve moved the embryo! I’m going to drive myself crazy for the next 11 to 12 days! 😂😂 how is everyone else? 😂🙈

Re: December 2023 cycle buddies

I’m having an absolute nightmare with care. Two Christmases in a row they’ve been unable to communicate correctly the dates they accept day 1 scans. I was told by donation services that anything before 1 dec or after 7th would be fine but now being told they're not accepting day 1 again until 22nd.

I’m really frustrated and upset as I feel they’ve been pressuring us to start with our donor eggs and now are saying we have to wait until January.

Anybody else have a similar issue? When is your clinic accepting day 1s?

Re: December 2023 cycle buddies

Our date is 17th too! I feel like I’m looking for any slight symptom now, like was a twinge/ cramp implantation?! Or am I just imagining stuff 😂 prior to IVF I drove myself mad every month waiting for that negative test!
I too have a cold! I’m no good at resting but trying to force myself to.
Really hope we all get a positive test 🙏

I haven’t had any issues with Care, so far they have been brilliant but I was insistent when it came to dates and did do a fair bit of pushing to make sure we had everything lined up for this cycle.

Re: December 2023 cycle buddies

I had some twinges and cramp feelings yesterday and panicked because I should be due on my period in 2 days! 😬
I hope we all get positive tests too! 😊🤞🏻
What pregnancy tests are everyone doing? Does branding matter on how early they can detect pregnancy in IVF?

I didn’t have any problems with care really either but I was the same in that I chased everything, I was quite happy to pester them if I was awaiting anything on there end. 😊

Re: December 2023 cycle buddies

How are we all doing? Has anyone caved and tested early?

We haven't tested yet, partner is having lots of symptoms but difficult to know if it's drugs or not. She's convinced her period is going to turn up soon but surely it wouldn't arrive until the drugs are stopped as that's what's keeping the lining in there?

We use the clearblue and first response for testing. As far as I know clearblue can detect hcg at 25 ul, first response I think is 5 or 10? I could be wrong though, it's a while since we've had to do tests.

Not had any problems with care since they were handed over, have actually found a huge improvement since we officially started treatment. We are very proactive with contacting them and I would always ring them if you're concerned or haven't heard in a while.

Re: December 2023 cycle buddies

Not caved yet, bought first response tests and they sat in my drawer waiting! Definitely won’t make it to the 19th though! 😂🙈
Since Friday I’ve had the symptoms of my period arriving, the cramps, been very emotional and a bit bloated but it’s not arrived yet! When I’ve researched it they’re the common symptoms of being on progesterone too so we'll just have to wait and see! 1 day late so far so just hoping it stays away! 🤞🏻🤞🏻
I’m unsure too if the progesterone would prevent it from arriving anyway! 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

Re: December 2023 cycle buddies

Reassured reading your posts as I had a melt down this morning thinking that I was coming on my period but so far so good! It’s so hard not to google and whatever you read could be anything 😂 it’s hard to know what’s symptoms, what’s normal and what’s the medication.
This TWW feels like 2 years.
I’ve got Clear Blue early detection but holding off until the date we were given.. Roll on Sunday!

Re: December 2023 cycle buddies

I know, there’s no answers on google, they all basically say could be from a successful embryo transfer, could be from the progesterone or could be period pain.
I might ring care tomorrow and see what they say about whether the progesterone would stop you period as I’m now 2 days late but I think it’s just from the progesterone! 😊
My cramps have definitely calmed down today and don’t feel emotional anymore, don’t know whether this is good or bad! 😬
I’m not going to be able to wait until the 19th to test! 😂🙈

If you contact them, I’d be interested to hear what they say!
There’s so much conflicting information online 😩
We’ve got to stay strong and not cave on the tests!!

Re: December 2023 cycle buddies

Just spoke to care, they said that the progesterone would be delaying the period so it’s not a sign of being pregnant! They said the only way to know is by doing the pregnancy test on the date set 😊😬

That's really good to know! I did think it would be strange to have a full bleed if you were taking medication to prevent that!

Hope everyone is doing well, fingers crossed for some positive tests ❤️

Me too, it’s driving me crazy not knowing and trying to interpret or second guess symptoms! I had a little spotting over the last two days and I’m desperately hoping it’s from implementation but who knows what it is 🤷🏼‍♀️ google tells me every available outcome 😂
Just praying my little embryo is all snuggled up in its new home 🤞

Re: December 2023 cycle buddies

From what I’ve read on google (multiple times now), spotting is a good sign! 🤞🏻🤞🏻 I’ve googled every symptom going! My cramping pains are back again and I had a few moments of shooting pains in my boobs and I was actually happy for it hoping it was a symptom! 😂😂
