Hello, is anyone starting their cycle in Feb 24? I am due to start meds on 8th Feb chose to go with Feb cycle rather than Jan so we could use the month to prepare! Off on holiday tomorrow and then not long at all once we are back good luck all!!

Aww, nice to meet you Amy! This will be my second cycle, I did my first cycle in November/ December and unfortunately our little snowflake didn’t stick
We only managed to retrieve 2 eggs and only 1 was good enough quality to transfer so it’s a whole fresh cycle for me. Did you have your first naturally or via IVF?

Hi Steph, sorry to hear about your loss. My little boy was an ivf pregnancy on my second ivf cycle but he was my 5th transfer. I've unfortunately had 3 losses previously, so it's been a bit of a long journey but on a positive note all definitely worth it in the end! Are they changing anything for your fresh cycle to try increase your number of eggs?

It sounds like you’ve had a difficult journey, I hope you get your second miracle!
Yes, they have agreed to increase my Gonal F injections and introduce a second scan plus a progesterone test (post transfer).
It is such a difficult journey, I was so positive going into our first cycle and when I heard we only retrieved 2 eggs, it crushed me! We are just praying this time, we can at least get more eggs/ blastocysts and give ourselves a better chance of success from this round of egg collections.

Welcome Sarah, I hope this journey gives you your positive. Any questions you might have, I'll try my best to answer them.
I'm at the new cheshire clinic, I was in the old chester clinic for my last cycle so a bit of a change. Steph I've got my fingers crossed that the increase in meds makes a difference for you, I had my stims increased for my second cycle and ended up with 7 blasts so it made a big difference.
I've had a bit of a surprise today, realised my period was late so did a test just to check and its a BFP. Given my history I'm cautiously optimistic but got my fingers crossed it all works out.

We’re at the new Cheshire clinic too. My meds arrived this morning so it’s all starting to feel real again. I start my norethisterone on Saturday!
Really hoping the increase in meds helps, I’m feeling cautiously optimistic!

I’m good, started my norethisterone yesterday and feeling positive. I’m just trying to get everything organised now! I’m spring cleaning the house and preparing some tasty meals for after egg collection/ transfer
I found the injections Ok, my fiancé was my little dispenser, he’d bring them up to me in bed with a coffee every morning! I don’t know which stims your on but I found gonal F absolutely fine but the ganerilix was abit oachie so I popped an ice cube on the injection site for a minute or so beforehand and it was then fine! After the first few days you find your routine/ technique- I didn’t really have any bruising either!

Ahh glad you are feeling positive! I have also already started thinking about food plans and will be stocking up on pomegranates and pineapples
I am on those so thank you so much for the heads up, I have ordered an ice pack so hopefully won’t be too bad. We start next week and I am sooo excited! Fingers crossed it all goes well for you xx

I can’t say I’m excited but I feel mentally prepared for what’s to come! My first cycle was the biggest emotional roller coaster and I just wasn’t expecting it but this time I kinda know what’s to come
What day do you start your injections?

I’m glad you feel mentally prepared, that is so important!
If I start my cycle on time it should be next Wednesday, travelling might have pushed it back a couple of days so will just have to see!
I hope so too! Do you know when you’ll be going in for your first scan? Xx

Hi Sarah, that’s good, have they confirmed your protocol yet? I start my injections on 12th and I’m having two scans this time, an early scan on 16th and one the following week to determine trigger shot/ collection. I only had the one scan in my first cycle.

Ahh I’m sorry I misunderstood and thought you had already started. We will be starting the injections very close to each other!! They have sent over the protocol and we have our nurse planning appointment on the 5th (Monday) so hopefully will feel more prepared by the time we start injecting. It’s good they are offering you two scans, I have everything crossed you have a successful cycle xx

Nurse planning meeting went well, feel much better prepared now! I’m due to start tomorrow if travelling hasn’t delayed it so could be starting injections Thursday! The nurse said we will be expecting to do egg collection around 23rd-26th Xx

Steph - we travelled in Jan but it always messes up my cycle the next month so very frustrating not knowing exactly when I will start as otherwise my cycle is spot on haha. Still haven’t started yet… how are you feeling?

Ahh, I had to call the clinic on the first day of my last period and then had to start taking tablets so the clinic are basically already in control of my cycle - my stims start date has been fixed for weeks now.

How did your scan go Cherrie?

I've got to have another scan tomorrow so I'm looking at possibly Monday for collection.
I have a couple follicles that are ready but consultant said I'd benefit with waiting a couple more days.
I'm gutted, had to pick up more stims as had run out.
Hormones are raging though, need to keep checking in with myself
