I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you Lucy and NeverGiveUp.
My main complaint today is my back is killing me - it's been on and off since I started the progesterone but it's not tolerating me sitting at all. Afraid to any stretches etc and also obviously convinced it means my period is arriving.
And it's only day 1 of the wait. FML.

Sorry to hear about your back Rebecca, have you spoken to the clinic about it at all? Hopefully given it’s a FET it would be unlikely that you’d start bleeding whilst on the meds. Saying that, my tummy def feels like just before my period! Not sure if it’s from the transfer or the progesterone injection.
Urgh the TWW is awful isn’t it!

Hi
Sorry to hear you are struggling with back ache Rebecca and Lucy with your tummy. I’ve got tummy ache still but I think it’s from the transfer as that was super painful! It’s nowhere near like that and if I’m resting it’s generally ok.
I’m craving chocolate Rice Krispie cake with a slab of chocolate on top lol which I don’t know anywhere that would sell that and it’s not actually going to be a craving as such. I didn’t get them with any pregnancy before. My last one that didn’t go full term I couldn’t eat raisins or even stand the smell and I used to fancy a smoothie but wasn’t desperate for it.
They say it takes 24-72 hours to implant and I doubt you’d get cravings that early.
I’ve not had any blood since first thing this morning so I’m happy about that.
Are you both coping with the TWW or starting to go crazy thinking about every little thing? This TWW is torture.
My tummy is so bloated too from all the progesterone x

I think with all the medication and hormones it is understandable to be getting some cravings. I’m definitely fancying a lot of chocolate and generally unhealthy food!
Funny you mention the bloating from progesterone. I had my 2nd injection last night and noticed my stomach was really bloated!
I did start going down a bit of a google / Reddit rabbit hole last night. I have to keep reminding myself that the chance of this working is about 10% so best not to get my hopes up really! How was you coping with it?

Re: Sept / Oct 24
The bloating is terrible isn’t it. My youngest kissed my belly yesterday morning and I asked why and she said she was kissing the baby. She doesn’t know we did a transfer, she’s 4 but she’s kept rubbing my tummy when I was pregnant at the end of last year saying there was a baby before we told them. I mean I defo look pregnant with the bloating and I’m so hoping she’s right and there is a baby. I said that last time that she was stroking my tummy etc to the person scanning me and they said that serval parents say their young kids do that, strange eh.
I’ve googled about hatching blastocysts are more likely to implant and that they do around 24-72 hours after transfer and general what to do and not do but drs have said it basically doesn’t really matter what you eat etc. I’m just trying to go for drinking more squash that normal and a healthy balanced diet but if I want cake and chocolate I can (and I definitely want chocolate lol).
How is your tummy ache and bloating today Lucy?
How is your back Rebecca?
I’ve done a bit of housework today and food prep so I can feel it on my tummy but I’m resting between doing jobs x

Go with the cravings - we deserve a bit of chocolate!
Back is better today, but I wasn't working so not at a desk all day so that might make the difference. I was driving though and not as much discomfort as I thought. Did small stretches every now and then to try and help.
Overthinking every sensation in my body of course. But overall doing ok.

I’m glad your back was better Rebecca.
I totally get the overthinking.
I think I did more than I should yesterday with ironing and laundry. I didn’t lift anything heavy but with that and a bit of walking (not much) I was aching at the end of the day.
I want to try and distract myself from constantly thinking about it, which is difficult because it seems my alarm goes off every 5 minutes for more medication going in every hole possible lol. Then to spread medication out as much as possible I have to be back home mid afternoon so you can’t just go out for the day and have no commitments if you know what I mean. It does change your life a bit and rule it which if it works is totally worth it.
I’m feeling really positive and that it’s actually going to work this time for some reason I don’t have doubts but equally if that negative happens (which is the higher possibility) it’s going to hit me harder. Last time when I had my fresh cycle my consultant said she couldn’t see why it wouldn’t have worked because we had really good odds and the same this time but still really good odds are still less likely than a negative.
Have either of you got anything nice planned this weekend? X

Yes to all the chocolate!
The drugs make me so hungry, I don’t normally have a huge appetite but I could eat all day
Really glad your back is a bit better Rebecca!
Never give up wow sounds like you are on a lot of meds! That’s great you are feeling so positive, it’s the best way to be really!
Will either of you test early?

I try not to test early because my first positive actually didn’t look positive until after 10 minutes and it was soooooo faint too. I was already gutted and in tears and then for some reason left it on the side and dad looked at it while getting washed etc and saw the faintest line so if I test I’m worried it’d be negative and be upset and actually could have worked but then the disappointment etc might negatively impact my body.
When is your test day again Lucy? Will you test early?

Yeah that’s totally understandable, I think if you can hold off testing that’s good!
I’m terrible and can never wait - I feel like testing gives me a way to manage my emotions a bit!
My OTD day is Friday but we are going to Italy on that day for a long weekend because it’s our wedding anniversary. So I would need more meds if it was positive so I’ll prob test around day 8/9.
Hope you are all having a relaxing weekend!

We've held off everytime because it just makes me even crazier...and I think it would be worse to get a positive that then started fading as it was CP etc...
I had a bit of a cry last night. I was so uncomfortable. I think the cyclogest pessaries are irritating my cervix, it was a weird crampy pain that felt very like when I was given medication before my D&C the last time so it's all very triggering and making me so worried it's not worked.
I just don't know what I'm going to do if this cycle doesn't work. I'm not sure I can put myself through it again, and I feel like my entire life has been on hold since we started the process.

Good idea Lucy, saves you potentially running out. Sounds lovely going away.
Oh no Rebecca that doesn’t sound nice at all. Have you tried putting the cyclogest in your bum? I do that because it’s less messy and I was told it absorbs letter too. Maybe that’s worth a try so you might be more comfortable.
I’ve been having tummy ache today, feels like period pain but equally I think some people can get aches when the embryo is implanting, not that I’ve had that before but who knows what it is medication, doing too much or just because it’s a Sunday lol maybe we all get it about now
It’d be nice to just know what’s what. I’d love to be able to see what is actually happening in there

Hi all, sorry for dropping in and out!
We ended up with four embryos out of our 7 eggs - which is fantastic. One was transferred the other Wednesday and the other three frozen.
Tested yesterday morning and it’s a BFP! My husband and are excited and cautiously optimistic given the chemical pregnancy earlier this year. But for now, things are feeling better than last time.
Hoping everyone else is well!

FWIW, I’ve had two different protocols resulting in pregnancy - first was 1 Cyclogest 3x daily, plus one lubion in the morning.Nevergiveup wrote: ↑Tue Oct 01, 2024 9:08 pm I really hope so Lucy! I really don’t want to do all this again.
How often do you have to do your injections? They’ve only mentioned lubion or something that could be added if my bloods are low. This is the first time they have tested for that though x
Currently on one morning Lubion and one evening Cyclogest. (Progesterone tests were c 100, taken 2h after injection)

I tried Cyclogest in the bum once and my digestive system wasn’t the same for the rest of the cycle. I have inflammation in the bowels so it may be just me, but I wouldn’t recommend it.Nevergiveup wrote: ↑Sun Oct 06, 2024 4:19 pm Good idea Lucy, saves you potentially running out. Rebecca - I had bad, period-like cramps the first day or two of Cyclogest in my first cycle but it has never been as bad as then. I think my body has gotten used to it. I hope it gets better for you too.

So sorry to hear you were upset Rebecca, it’s a really overwhelming and draining (emotionally and financially!) process and looks like you’ve been on the journey for a long time. Sorry to hear about the D&C
Fingers crossed this is the one.
On the cylogest, my clinic advise to alternative between putting it up front and back. I do two up the back during the day and one in the front overnight as it’s less messy. Might be worth trying to alternate a bit.
Never give up, hope the tummy pain has eased. I have felt like I’ve been on my period for a few days. Think it must be the progesterone! I agree, wish we could see what is happening!
Cheshirekat - amazing news, congratulations!! Brilliant to have gotten 4 embryos. What DPT did you get your BFP?

Morning ladies, just to update - I actually tested yesterday 6dp5dt and got a v faint line. Tested again this morning to check if it was an evap line but it is def a faint pink line so BFP!
I had a BFP at official test day last time and it ended up being a chemical, and I’m mindful the clinic gave about an 11% success rate, so who knows what will happen but fingers crossed!

Wow Lucy that sounds positive hopefully it keeps getting darker for you now. Have you told the clinic yet to possibly order meds or are you going to wait a couple of days?
I’d be soooo nervous about testing early.
When is the earliest you can get a BFP?
My boobs feel different this morning, like aching. I had that when I had my last pregnancy that didn’t turn out well but my other 2 pregnancies I didn’t have any symptoms. I’ve read that it can be a result of the medication so I’m not reading too much into it.

Thanks both!
I’ll wait until Wed to speak to the clinic.
I actually wasn’t expecting a positive at this stage, was more doing it to manage my own anxiety (I know that sounds odd but testing gives me a feeling of control!). I wish I had the patience to wait until OTD - It’s def the better thing to do!
I’ve heard of a lot of people getting positives between days 6-8 but equally people who didn’t test positive until later. Guess it depends what stage the embryos was at.
Hope the boobs aren’t too sore! I think it’s so hard to compare pregnancies, especially when on so much medication. It’s incredibly hard not to symptom spot but at the very least hopefully it means the meds are working!

They aren’t sore, more just aches but not constant which is good.
Yes definitely something is working even if just the meds.

Re: Sept / Oct 24
Hi ladies hope you are well.
We’ve made it to half way through woohoo but I think this week will drag more than the first…
When I went to the toilet this morning I had a little bit of brown blood when I wiped. Who’s knows what it will be period, implantation, progesterone dip, just because it’s Tuesday, stress… I’ve had a bit of stress yesterday and today but I’m doing to rest and watch tv because I think that’s what my body is telling me to do.
How is everyone else doing? X

Re: Sept / Oct 24
Morning, well done for being half way through! The second week always drags the most. Got anything planned to keep your mind occupied? When did you say OTD is again?
At least it was brown blood. A little bit shouldn’t be a cause for concern. So many people who get pregnant have bleeding so best to try and ignore it unless it becomes a significant amount (easier said than done I know!).
I am trying not to get think things. See if we can get through to the end of this week with still having a positive test, and then let’s see what happens next week!
